GEORGE BARTLETT

George has been based at the Caunton Stud for over ten years and is responsible for the backing, breaking and production of all Caunton horses and stallions. George made his debut at 2* level in 2022 after only making his first appearance in any competition arena in 2021. Exactly one year later in 2023, George finished in 3rd place in his first 3* on board Conpierre at Blair Castle International Horse Trials and has learned his trade here at Caunton Stud.

In his early years George pursued a professional gymnastic career and also attended Leeds University, working for the stud still on a part time basis until finishing his studies.

George hopes to climb through the levels of eventing over the next few years as well as continuing to produce some future superstars along the way. In 2025 he made his 4*L debut in Ballindenisk on board Caunton First Class.
